Double Bass School Method titles. SAA teachers will also be able to obtain the

The SmartMusic practice system is uniquely suited to help Suzuki string
teachers, parents, and students. It can help make practicing a string
instrument more productive and enjoyable by providing accompaniment, recording
capability, and immediate assessment and feedback.
SmartMusic can be used effectively for the Suzuki student in many ways:
For beginning students it can:
-
Serve as a musical aid for the parent practicing with the child
-
Provide a means for practice with an accompaniment
-
Encourage unit practice with practice loops
-
Serve as an enhanced metronome
-
Provide a way for slow practice with accompaniment
-
Provide ear-training sequences for developing the ear
-
Serve as a fun technical practice tool with the potential to motivate and
encourage the student.
For advanced students and teachers it can:
-
Provide a means for practice with an accompaniment
-
Serve as a guide through different tempi when learning a new piece.
-
Provide an easy way to record and listen to one's playing with or without the
accompaniment.
-
Provide music for sight-reading and etudes for technical development.
-
Serve as a fun technical practice tool with the potential to motivate and
encourage the student.
More information on how to maximize the benefits for Suzuki students, parents,
and teachers is available in the Read Me documentation that comes with
SmartMusic 9.1.

On-screen notation is available for the Suzuki String School books. The notation
defaults to being hidden in Suzuki Volume I for all instruments, because during
this important first stage of development, it is crucial not to view the
notation, ensuring that the learning occurs by ear and the student's ear
develops following the Suzuki philosophy.
