Among the recent improvements made to the SmartMusic Gradebook is the ability to import your student enrollment records from the previous school year. It's a big time-saver.
To use it, log into the Gradebook, click on Student Records, and from the Class tab select a class. In the bottom right corner you'll see: "Enroll Students from 2008-2009 School Year;" click on this link. After indicating what class your students are coming from, de-select those students who are not returning, hit Enroll Students, and you're done.
In no time your students are ready to start completing homework: I suggest you get them started by sending them the automated scale assignments.
Less time spent on re-enrollment means more time for music, and we can all appreciate that.
