Sorenson is the Director of Jazz Studies at the University of Minnesota and
an acclaimed composer, arranger, educator, clinician, author, and Yamaha performing
artist. Along with Bruce Pearson, he co-authored Standard of Excellence
Jazz Ensemble Method, which has recently been added to SmartMusic. Dean talked to
us about the creation of this acclaimed jazz method and its integration with
SmartMusic. More.
